Pros

I suppose to be fair and put something in this box, Sitel is a friendly and laid back place to work and offers paid training and monthly bonuses.

Cons

Oh where do I start. First, it's a call center, that means long days of just sitting talking on the phone using scripted language with callers who don't care what they are being told. I have worked in other call centers before but never before have I been paid so little and have been expected to meet so many goals. I answer calls for three different departments for the client, each with different ways of handeling the call and penalties for not handeling that call type in the prescribed manner. The place is geared more toward handeling phone calls, as many and as frequently as possible, than helping the callers.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
