Pros

Great work life balance. Sr Mgmt encourages a lot of community work. Good pay. Cost of living is pretty low compared to major cities. Pay hikes are pretty low. Interesting Business problems. Constantly changing economic landscapes has us doing a lot of analytics to support business decisions. Strong analytics forms the backbone of a number of group in fedex. Lot of focus on employee training and developing leadership. Management is very friendly and easily accessible. every major life event (marriages, birthdays, babies) are celebrated with a lot of joy. Lot of ongoing community work during office hours as part of corporate responsibility. Very diverse culture - lots of women and minorities in the work place.

Cons

Career growth can be slow. Very few mgmt openings and too many professionals vying for them. Company pursues too many projects and there are lot of resource issues. The operate independently model hampers a lot of initiatives. The hierarchy is pretty flat at the top and lot of issues cannot be resolved by top management due to the flat structure. very different cultures across opcos.

Pros

Being Part-time, Benefits, Can still take on more sorts that are equivalent to full time without being full time.

Cons

No Breaks, you can go to restroom and break room but you have to rush. Biggest Con: You work in North Pole and Have to pack up Santa’s Sleigh every shift, the presents never stop coming down the belt.

Pros

Easy to apply, fast to get hired (no interview process) and the pay

Cons

Very rude management, lack of care for safety, no drinkable water (all filters are in the red and have been since I started) They have cameras everywhere and are constantly watching you but say you can’t bring your own phone in because “people steal them”? There is junk everywhere. Lots of trash everywhere (employees drinks and food). They want you to work and eat on the line instead of giving you breaks to do so. They get upset when you use the bathroom or fill your water bottle even if you’ve been working for 3 hours straight but if you clock in at an area 2 min walking distance from your work area you’re “stealing time” I’ve noticed people of color get treated differently. The HR department has some of the most prejudice employees so there’s no real equality if you have conflict with someone. I’ve never been, but it feels like a prison to go in and out of the building and lastly you don’t work a consistent schedule. You leave when they say you can.
