Pros

Nice people, good DE&I initiatives/groups. I really enjoyed the Women's group and Wavelength group (for LGBTQIA allyship).

Cons

I left after over a year because things were changing for the worse and my efforts were unappreciated. 1. Company-wide, the rollout of Eviden was messy: names changed with little notice, comms to clients were rushed and embarrassing due to all the acquisition changes, and I felt like the Maven Wave culture was getting shelved in order to fit in with our new owners. 2. My team in particular suffered greatly when an entire team we collaborated with on a daily basis left the company one by one, and we were left to pick up the slack. My job scope changed completely and suddenly required a new set of skills I did not have. I spoke to my boss for clarity and was told it was temporary, and that the company would soon hire new employees to fix the gap and rebuild the broken team we worked with. This did not happen and it became clear that it was never going to happen. 3. I got a 1% raise after acing my annual performance review. My client base had quadrupled and my job scope had completely changed.

Pros

The role is primarily remote, offering great flexibility. Many of the engineers are highly supportive, and having access to mentorship at this early stage of my career has been invaluable.

Cons

Overall, it’s a great role for career development.
