The good ole boys network (and good ole "girls") is in full effect here. Politics are rampant, nepotism is everywhere, and if you don't have an established network and a good manager, be prepared to be profiled/railroaded when you want to do the right thing. Layoffs are frequent. Unprofessional behavior is tolerated, and even seems to be rewarded.
