Pros
Because there are not many Elvery's Stores in Ireland and many of the stores are quite small, the staff connect very well together across almost every store whether its at social get togethers for the company or merely via telephone for stock. There is a lovely feel of togetherness across all the stores. You immediately feel part of a team from day one and throughout. Management are lovely and work on the floor with you so rather than being superiors they are on your level and there is mutual respect amongst all employees. The main pro really is that you get a great laugh while working and management don't take themselves too seriously. Continuous training is given every year and there is always opportunity to progress.
Cons
The pay isnt great at all (minimum wage) and doesnt increase regardless of how many years you've worked there unless you progress to a higher position. It was perfect for a part-time job during college, but not as a real life career, unless progression is happening!
