Pros

Well established in Ireland having bought out National Toll Roads, primarily a facility management company offering operations and maintenance services for national road infrastructure. therefore offering stability.

Cons

Absolutely no opportunity outside what you were employed to do and they tell you this at interview. This is due to little or no turnover of staff at supervisory/management level. So if you are happy to be stuck doing the same repetitive thing then Egis is for you. Pay rises rarely happen and have to be very hard fought for, as they feel that if you are doing the same thing all the time then you get the same salary, Don't pay inflation either so each year you are technically taking a pay cut, Oh and if you didn't go to the right university you are screwed. In Ireland management can do nothing because the parent company in France controls everything and does not appreciate Irish based staff at all. Constantly talk about culture and values..... but don't do it in reality.

Pros

Lower and middle management does their best, but their efforts are generally limited completely by the corporate culture of profit over everything.

Cons

BLN used to be a small, family owned firm but now after several mergers and acquisitions, it's essentially a French-owned Blackrock type firm.
