Pros
Hard working env't. VERY intelligent people. Opportunity for large turnaround. Although challenged over the last few years, Dell has a very strong balance sheet and the potential to transition to be a key Enterprise IT provider that can leverage its brand and expand its presence Globally. Many fault Dell for being too US-centric (ie vs IBM or HP). However, this limited channel provides great opportunities abroad. _
Cons
Tough "sink / swim" culture. Somewhat reactive (ie transactional) selling process (although changing) - which can impact culture and expectations. Difficult to gain Executive experience as slowing economy / growth limits upward mobility.
