Pros
Decent work/life balance and great PTO policy
Cons
Loyalty and experience are not rewarded at all. Few learning resources and opportunities for career growth. Favoritism is the worst I've ever seen. Promotions are not given based on experience, ability, or seniority but rather personal relationships with management. In my unit, two people with less experience were promoted based on personal friendships with management. Management hires friends and then promotes them, creating a very exclusive environment. Very little guidance or support in day to day and longer term goals for division. Ability, skill, and experience are not the qualities that factor into promotions or raises. Raises are on average under 2% which is completely unacceptable and unsustainable for employees. Pay is far below industry average, even in higher cost of living areas.
