The values are fundamentally flawed - the special boys club love preaching them, but when push comes to shove it's all a lie.
The values and what they mean are:
Aspire: Anything can be built
Excel: No room for approximation
Unite: We are greater together
What does this really mean, when you're the underdog?
Aspire: Yes anything can be built, but it must be exactly the way they want it and how they want it - even if their way is insane. It's an extra opportunity for them to belittle and undermine you.
Excel: No room for approximation? Basically, don't make any errors or mistakes - unless you want grudges held against you for eternity.
Unite: They will offer to help you when they're in the presence of the boys club, but when you actually ask suddenly they're too good for that. To be frank, you're only 'united' if you're in the boys club.
Another huge issue is micromanaging within the company. They will change and alter everything you do, just because they can - I feel like they enjoy the superiority and ego boost they get from this.
It's especially hard when you have several people micromanaging you - some that are not even your manager and are frankly way out of line; hence the title "Anxiety".
It has even gotten to the point where you can't even thank a colleague without your post being corrected! - it's a thank you, are you kidding? When will the see how ridiculous that is?
Whilst there's so many more; the last important con to mention is the abundance of prejudice. It doesn't matter how good you are, your experience, or anything a company should priorities. If they don't like you or your personality, they'll make you aware by how they treat you compared to others. It seems like it's their mission to find a fault in everything.
So join checkout, and be prepared to be belittled, bullied, and be in a constant state of anxiety/depression.
