Cons
As people retire or move on to new jobs, the positions are often not filled. Instead the company just piles the work onto current employees. The resources are rarely available to make the improvements which are necessary to move the company forward, which leaves employees feeling frustrated. Everyone feels so constrained and so pressured to focus on the bottom line that there is a high level of stress, and very poor engagement.
