Cons

culture is bad and toxic. hr 1 yr ago said communication of changes would happen to stop body shopping. false promise of changes twice from uk bosses who now leaving again. nothing has changed and worse now from before as indian ceo that was out has come back here consultants everybody speaking of his work with females in apac india and gossip why he went from hk before. consultants and staff gone through the years and some quitting now like me. clients talking of problems so dont want to call capco to do the work. mps not good so dont get right deals and high bench time.

Capco is always looking to improve the experience of our staff and recruits. We encourage those with comments to raise issues and suggestions in good time so we get a chance to act on them, in this case, you have chosen not to do so. It is not clear as to what is meant by the sinister reference to %E2%80%98work with females%E2%80%99 but it is unsubstantiated and we can assure you we don%E2%80%99t understand what is meant and there have been no similar references from any other source. We are clear, however, that any change in leadership in a business creates uncertainty and necessitates re-engaging with our people and rebuilding their trust and confidence. This case is no exception. Thankfully, the process is already underway and it will intensify in the coming days and weeks. People will see real activity to build a strong emotional connection with the firm, including clear communication of our priorities and the contribution each of us can make to their achievement. We believe strongly that the changes we have put in place in our leaders and more broadly will make the business successful and deliver growth. Ironically, we also believe that this success will create the very opportunities, career development and culture to which you refer. We are the start of a challenging but exciting time for Capco in Hong Kong, and we urge all other staff to work with the new leaders, support the changes underway and take advantage of the opportunities and progression that a successful Capco will generate

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
