Pros
VMware used to be an excellent company to work for, until Broadcom took it over. Now, there is excellent compensation especially if you are P6 and above. But that is where good things end.
Cons
Constant layoffs, Need to badge in every workday even if team is distributed throughout the world. No more career growth after VMware was bought. Hardly any HR or IT help.
