Pros

* Strong bias to action, and to making quick decisions * Extreme aversion to allowing any operational complexity * Very flat organization, not a lot of bureaucratic red tape * Pays employees extremely well, when you include stock (RSU) awards which become golden handcuffs for a large percentage of employees * Competitive healthcare, dental and other benefits, including unlimited PTO, 401k match

Cons

* Terrible internal communication * Mandatory in-office work 5 days a week (badge swipes tracked) * Culture of "every man for himself" * Little investment in employee development, scarce opportunities for promotion. Managers have massive spans of control, so there is little time for them to cultivate their team members. * Tops-down decision making --- the CEO makes almost every decision at this company (does he ever sleep?) * New strategies are adopted "shoot from the hip" style, then there's a mad scramble to pick up all the pieces
