Pros
Best place to improve your stress management capabilities, and meet other likeminded, vulnerable and desperate people that you can suffer with. Initially brought in with big smiles, welcoming and fake love. Salary looks attractive at first but you will soon see that they will literally suck it all out of you and make you do whatever they want "for the good of the business".
Cons
Management have no heart, if you're sick/late they will burst your phone and shout at you with no concern of your health and well being. Constant peer pressuring for religious workers! They simply do not listen to working requests, unless its to the benefit of the business. Promotions and growth within the company is discriminative and personal, so if you're a very skilled worker but the manager doesn't like you forget about getting promoted! Staff food is consisted of food that is about to get expired. No actual certified cleaners, runners and kitchen porters do the cleaning duties. Contract is one sided, with no guarantees on hours provided, and all front of house employees are to do other duties not in their expertise if required by the business. Back of house is often filled with Rats and flies until inspection day comes. Major segregation and hostility between the front of house and Chef section. Environment full of staff that are constantly gossiping, swearing and talking about other employees behind their back. Very negative environment unless you like being a slave, and getting used/robbed by the management on duty. Lack of female workers due to the environment, 93% male workers to use 1 staff toilet and If you need to use the toilet, you have to tell management first! Extremely high resignation percentage, as they rather renew workers than keep existing ones.
