Tyrannical rule. - Sales Assistant B&M Retail Employee Review

Everyone in the senior roles appear to have gotten their not due to the right skills, but the right chromosomes rather (if you catch my drift). Needed time off for important circumstance (3 days), was denied the request and told if i took the time off i would be fired. In the particular situation i was asked to choose part time work over family, of course i chose the latter... constant threat of the sack was hung over all members of staff at the ground level, the most senior of the shop managers chose to rule with fear rather than with any compassion.
