Pros

OK hours, Possibility of hybrid work mode

Cons

Aon Vancouver mining department is the most toxic place I have ever been. First of all, 0 training is provided. They expect you to work as if you've been there for years on the 1st day. T.. S... is the current manager and the worst I've ever had. He has ultimate trust issues, and extreme micromanagement, always giving unclear instructions, you never understand what's in his pretty mind. After tasks are assigned, check up on you every 3 minutes. If you ask for your PTO face to face, good luck with it, he will never remember, and when there is an issue, it is always your fault. 0 flexibility, 0 efficient communication and 0 respect for women. It might still be a good company but mining is the least place you want to be. Especially for women. I got depression personally, I am sure other people feel the same way just to different extent.

Pros

Clearly defined career ladder Exposure to a wide range of clients and projects.

Cons

Inconsistent team culture. Some teams feel clique-oriented, so it's difficult for new employees to integrate. Training can be limited, with a strong expectation to learn independently.
