Pros

Helping clients/policyholders by advocating on their behalf in coverage disputes with their insurers and assisting with claims resolution without the need for coverage litigation is very rewarding. Compensation is fair and the environment in the office is usually very congenial.

Cons

Leadership is really hit or miss. In certain teams, there are great leaders who care about their employees and their workload, however, other managers are solely concerned about revenue and/or stock price and will cut corners and allow valuable talent to exit rather than rewarding them for their hard work.

Pros

Good support and good people

Cons

Large company does mean that Tech/HR support usually involves an 800 number and call center.

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
