I was originally hired as a “seasonal associate” to help Aldi cope with coronavirus-induced traffic increases. Ended up working ~32 hrs/week for over 90+ days. My work was exemplary enough that I was recently offered a full-time position, with the caveat that my service to the company during a global health pandemic would not be credited towards my health insurance probation. I received this “promotion” the same day we placed “Heroes Work Here.” This is insultingly callous.
