Pros

The company has a lot of intelligent people who are willing to help you learn and progress in your career as well as provide mentorship beyond the office environment. They pay you well and allow you to work on your own time despite the long hours. There is a real chance to advance in your career and develop personally and mentally. I enjoy being a part of a finance team that is leading the way in our field and our industry as a whole. Overall I would say that my experience here has been positive because of my coworkers and boss.

Cons

the main downside is having to work excessive hours and the lack of work/life balance that the eomployees experience. From day one the demands are very high and it requires much of your life for several years, especially if you want to advance.

Pros

Varied work experience Gain a broad understaning of businesses in different industries When the market is good, there are good opportunities to try different work/locations etc Support for most relevant qualifications as long as you get a good performance review

Cons

Long term rewards only come from reaching partnership which is hard to gain unless you are favoured by an existing partner. Still an accountancy business at heart despite some forays into broader advisory Getting increasingly corporate political, doing good client work and bringing in new business not always recognised unless you know how to play the profile building game Business development and sales skills being heavily prioritised over delivery of client work skills - especially for longer term progression.

Pros

Great place to start a career. Culture of the company is great with even greater people to work along side with. People there are very helpful and partners always have an open door policy. Plus, they are smart as hell. Definitely a resume builder if employed here for a few years. Variety of fields to be involved in so you can learn something new everyday. Great firm to use to open doors.

Cons

Long hours, but it is worth while and meaningful work. Its accounting, so could be boring for some people. Starting salary is on the lower end, as compared to other firms.
