Do Not Work Here

Pros

The people, literally just the people. They are often overqualified and overly dedicated.

Cons

Everything else. Since I left, it appears ENGIE has somehow only gotten worse. The company has an extremely high turnover rate and no upward mobility past Client Rep level. They do not value the work of their employees and let poorer employees ride on the successes of their more productive teammates who are working with outdated systems dating back almost 20 years. The pay is absolutely abysmal. After over 6 years, my pay did not substantially increase even with the state's minimum wage increase. They forced my team out of work by 'streamlining' it aka taking it over and oversimplifying it such that it slowly filtered through a queue to the point it became virtually impossible to do the work in a timely manner - all without understanding anything about the processes themselves, why they worked the way they did, or why they worked successfully. Our clients were most likely never made aware of these changes which undoubtedly violated the timelines drafted in their contracts during onboarding. Leadership is embarrassingly unaware of what their teams do in their daily tasks and does not support them beyond casual praise, nor do they care about them as human beings. The whole company functions on the slave labor of its DE workers, billing specialists, and even up through its team leads and Client Representatives. You're encouraged to take PTO - use it or lose a chunk of it by year's end - but taking time off is often seen as lazy and you'll be backlogged. The cost of the company healthcare plan literally doubled in one year without any pay increase to cover it and was a poorer plan. Engie Impact does not care about people. They will lie to you about this time and time again. I won't even bother to get into the ethical issues within Engie Impact regarding client contracts, and how often they're consciously and deliberately violated, or the company's anti-unionization tactics, nor will I get into the issues with the CEOs, company politics, or the way the company blatantly disregards employee concerns at townhall meetings quarter after quarter. For further evidence of the company's failings, see the 5-star plants in the reviews and the enthusiastic replies from the company. See also the copy-and-paste replies to those with complaints: they aren't listening and they don't care. Do not trust them. Whatever you do, do not work here. Spare your mental and physical health.

Pros

PTO is very good, the people are awesome.

Cons

We recently were given notice of our annual merit raises. Up until this year, the maximum given was 4%. This year, they decided that the maximum would be lowered to 2.5%, claiming that they want to focus on quarterly bonuses because they're "more useful." First, quarterly bonuses are based on goals that must be met, meaning that if they are not given, the employees themselves can be blamed for it instead of the company itself. Second, more taxes are taken from the bonuses than from paychecks. Third. having a continuous, guaranteed higher pay is a good thing. Second, while they were "generous" enough to start paying us the new minimum wage in the state two months early, this took at least three positions with different skill levels to the same pay. They're "looking at" compression, so they say. They've said this before, every year since I've worked there (7 years), because compression is a constant problem there. They've done little bits here and there, but not nearly enough. It seems that greed is becoming Engie Impact's mantra. Note: Last year, a huge client was signed, meaning the company got a nice large boost in revenue. It would be nice if they would feel inclined to pass that on to employees in a permanent fashion. Lies and broken promises seem to be the specialties of this company. It's far too bad that employees look to have voted down unionizing (something the company sent an e-mail out discouraging). We sure need it.
