Pros

Some good teams to work with, that’s about it.

Cons

Poor management no qualifications or experience, bullying culture, no training or development, obsessive reliance on external consultants, little care for staff, how long you’ve worked there far out ranks what skills and experience you can bring to the job, management can’t take responsibility for their own actions. Passive aggressive culture.

Pros

Well paid across the board.

Cons

Staff are treated appallingly. HR do not act on behalf of the worker or the Manager, they simply exist to try and limit a meritocracy and foster a private members club. You are expected to give up your life for the project. Hard work is calculated in the number of hours that you devote to the project. Line Managers are vindictive, back-stabbers with zero compassion for their workforce.

Pros

Outstanding benefits, very low stress level (if you have zero ambitions), you can travel the world and pretend you’re working remotely for months.

Cons

No real structure. Everything is outsourced in technical areas. Managers are incompetent. The highest ratio of meaningless titles of Sr. Directors, Directors, VPs, etc. per capita. No strategy or vision. Failed GE third class managers are preferred for technical positions they have no foundations as a promise of having connections with GE. They never had even access to GE engineering, so they are useless. Lack of substance leads way to nonsensical silliness of preaching “soft values” by the incompetent managers as their hideout. They promote only those who do not pose a threat to their cluelessness.
