Pros

Friendly and helpful colleagues and pleasant, well-equipped office. Good salary and conditions. Training program well established, and excellent sponsorship opportunities for employees. The core business of EDFT is very interesting.

Cons

Buck-passing culture, Inability to manage progress against strategic company goals. Senior management are not respected within the company. Interminable meetings! High staff turnover, low morale.

Pros

Wide range of 'businesses' under the EDF Energy umbrella. Opportunities to experience e2e energy business (generation, supply, network). International links.

Cons

Stuck in the past. Slow to change. Very consultative decision making process, with little empowerment. Inconsistent investment in people. Legacy issues with field force. Pay not consistent. The different branches feel like distinct businesses, some of which are more forward thinking than others (New Nuclear would be an exciting place to work)

Pros

Good work-life balance Good final pension scheme Barely any pressure

Cons

If your happy with staying at the same level for about 6 or more years this is the place for you. Dont expect a promotion any time soon and they are certainly not into titles, people working her for nearly 10 years may eveidence on Analyst in their title. If you are someone who is thirty for learning and actually want t feel like your brain is being used, then this is not a place for you, you will not be challenge, you can hand in work late... and the funny thing is the management kind of expect that given that they move deadlines so fluidly!
