Pros

- one of the big 6 so a large org - safety is king and the message of the day is held in every meeting - Some good managers keen to get it right and dealing with large scale logistical issues - opportunities within are many for technically qualified and minded people

Cons

- unions are very powerful and although give a sense of reason at times can slow all processes down - union strike action caused a lot of disruption in the year I was there though the company had a lot of changes it was planning to make to help with the smart metering need but I did think discussion would have been far better than the continual threat and walk out - a lot of changes happening in UK so some job uncertainty around in 2015
