Pros

Good work life balance Opportunities to grow within the company A good Pension scheme (although not available to new staff)

Cons

A big drive to be transparent with the customer but there's a big gap in transparency with staff. Management can focus on little savings like do not travel and then we can see big fat paid consultants (e.g. Bain, Baringa) being paid millions to come and copy the work of staff and claim it as their own in pretty slides is hugely demotivating to staff.

Pros

Extremely welcoming environment, exposure to interesting technology - nuclear. Introduction to some good working practices and very focused on safety. Opportunities to take on roles of responsibility. Good work life balance.

Cons

Narrow sighted leadership, no use of intuition. Majority of employees are happy to hide behind the many layers of bureaucracy to not contribute meaningful work, or even stand in the way of work.
