A great career at EDF

Pros

EDF is a great place to work with lots of benefits across all sites- some have on-site gyms, coffee shops, other have good deals with gyms nearby. On site counselling & physiotherapy has to be an usual benefit and one other employers could learn from. There are opportunities to progress - not just through the normal routes but into analysts, marketing etc

Cons

A heavy emphasis on cost in recent times and sometimes this seems more important than anything. Some quite noticeable differences in rules according to which dept you work in which seems unfair when on a single site.

Pros

The location and facilities. Staff turnover is on the low side so there's a lot of experience here. Training used to be good but they've started outsourcing.

Cons

Weak management. The company has been extensively and repeatedly restructured with waves of redundancies so those in charge were mostly inexperienced 6 months before.
