Pros

International exposure, large utility company, nice projects

Cons

Worked for a subsidiary called EDF Investissements Groupe. Management (CEO and "Chief Risks and Op Officer" ) is very old school, incompetent and inefficient. Always trying to hide their lack of skills behind arrogance and rigidity. Both grabbing all advantages (large SUV's as company car, 5 months stock options bonuses,...) leaving nothing to others. Because of poor management, the subsidiary has been increasingly badly perceived in the group preventing any mobility / career progression.

Pros

Nice friendly atmosphere Great place to develop without a strong blame culture as in other industries such as financial sector Company is so large that there is always interesting work Great benefits and pension Great work-life balance

Cons

Restructures quite often which isn't helpful when you're dealing with external clients, and makes it harder to find rhythm Relaxed culture regarding performance - makes it good for development but harder to have full confidence in everyone you work with Going the extra mile not rewarded
