They Mean Well

Pros

Work-life balance as good as can be for a car sales job. They really try to be a progressive company. They seem to care about their employees.

Cons

Sometimes the cars they get aren't as good as they make it seem which undermines what they tell us to tell the customer. Always had to jump start cars. When a car is returned for mechanical issues, it's still a negative mark against the sales advisor. They take the sale away. Cars are often dirty.

Pros

Learn the car business, great team (depending on location), great benefits. Don't really have 20 words for the pros. Can't think of anything else.

Cons

Spend more time at the dealership than at home, no work life balance, very little money, micro-managed, little opportunity for growth, more focused on calls vs. sales.

Pros

Good vacation time. Simple sales process. Fast promotion for sales related positions only.

Cons

Operations advisors aren't eligible for any company contests or prize winnings that are granted to sales advisors. No promotional options for OA's unless you want to do sales. Hours for OA's aren't realistic for type of quick involved. You work sales/retail hours without relating to sales directly. Seems as though it's an under appreciated positive by both corporate and direct management.
