      Pros

      Good products and scale. Great pay and benefits.

      Cons

      Has lost its way. No longer a chemical company. Now acts like a social enterprise focused on everything other than chemistry and strong manufacturing excellence. CEO and management focused on social engineering - LGBT, diversity....all very nice but at the expense of being a great Chemical company. Doubt the Dow family would recognize what has become of their beloved company. Now its about flying rainbow flags or solving third world problems or funding Olympics or marching for some cause.

      Pros

      Nice people overall, although most are "fair weather friends". Complicated policies and procedures require more time with which to comprehend than allowed.

      Cons

      Very poor management-limited specific job training-negative reinforcement. Accusations of poor performance when in reality the problems are poor management skills on the part of transferred managers as well as senior workers who are waiting out retirement. A piece of personal property was not returned upon leaving the company. Work hours were not revealed during the interview process, nor job expectations. Worst employment experience in 30-year career.

      Tier progression is based on amount of time worked, not how hard or good you work Require degree to go process, unlike some other plants Depending on placement, may be treated inferior by plant operators Extremely strict
