Pros

You get to attend some social events, small monthly bonus, hybrid working but that's about it.

Cons

The company, especially in Ireland is an absolute scam and biggest joke. The management is not only unqualified but clueless. People in management think they know everything but really they all depend on chatGPT's and with that they make up these "team" lead positions also to micro manage everyone else!!! There are a lot of ignorant people in the finance team. Some, clearly cannot speak English because all you here is them speaking their own language (this includes French, Indian and Italian). There are managers who claim that they always work, yet they have this magic time for online shopping. Your goals and achievements are not taken into consideration. The company pushes the management for these pointless monthly meetings and guess what, managers don't care, like with everything else it's only a "tick the box". Some manager must clearly have personal issues because they cannot hold themselves professionally, calling people stupid, idiots etc... there is enough evidence of BULLYING in this workplace. Forget about a decent pay raise, you won't get more than 5% no matter how hard you work. Read other reviews, save yourself your mental health and dignity and keep going with your job search.

Pros

- Good training program, many companies in industry only hire experienced candidates - See both category management and demand planning in one role - 10% variable bonus monthly based on company performance

Cons

- Hired in many French leaders to take in top positions - High turnover of around 50% - French leader has said "Singaporeans don't like to ask questions", "Singaporeans job hop" - Not many opportunities to rise the ranks - Limited pay raise

Lacking in Leadership

Pros

The companies mission, vision and values are commendable and inspiring. That is what attracted me to Decathlon in the first place. But...

Cons

The implementation of the company's mission, vision and in particular its values leave much to be desired at the store and department levels. For example, the concept of team doesn't actually exist. Instead, in the zest to create an autonomous environment, people are constantly competing against one another, even those within a single department, creating a toxic environment were people are dishonest, unreasonably demanding, and often unhelpful.
