Entrepenurial environment in which you won't be micro-managed. Dedicated, hard-working people that are passionate about their work.

Cons

Management has no shared strategy or objective, and is more focused on posturing for position in an extremely political climate rather than on what is best for the company and clients. There have been steady layoffs, wage freezes and travel and spending restrictions over the past year.

Pay within market but probably no chance for raise this year and no 401K match

Pros

The atmosphere at Merrill is casual and hours are flexible.

Cons

There have been some layoffs this past year and the 401K match has been suspended. They also are not letting people carryover more than 16 hours of vacation into the new year.

Pros

Merrill used to be a great place to work and begin a career. I spent over 10 years with the company before my department was downsized and I had had several promotions and opportunities to expand my skill set via internal advancement. The non-managers are some of the nicest and hardworking people I'm worked with and I miss them more than anything.

Cons

Lowballs employees on pay Internal politics can be frustrating No education benefits No long offers a 401k matching program Manager to employee information is usually lacking.
