A lot of changes going on recently...

Pros

A variety of daily work, nice co-workers, if you have a supportive, positive manager, who gives constructive feedback to the employees, it makes all the difference in the world.

Cons

Company is owned by private investment company, wanting more and more profit with minimum staff. Not enough paid days off, company is closed the day after Thanksgiving, but you have to use a floating holiday to pay for it. No education benefits at all. Constant heavy workload pushed on employees and expected to perform nearly perfect all the time, under high stress levels an tight deadlines.

-Focused on technology development current and future state to surpass competition -Engaged management -Accountability and results focused -Team orientated philosophy -Quality atomsphere

Cons

Nothing currently comes to mind. There have been transition of several "non-core" businesses. While some may have questioned this in other reviews, this long term member of Merrill can understand the focused approach to core business.

Sold off divisions and starting to get focus in the market. (Is it to little to late.)

Cons

Owned by a private equity firm that wants a return on it's investment in the next two years. To much uncertainty at Merrill this time to recommend to a friend until someone that is concerned about the long term health of Merrill takes over.
