Excellent technology. Enzymatic DNA Synthesis (EDS) is the future of DNA printing. Period. EDS has the potential to revolutionize a range of sectors from biotech/pharma to basic science research.
Cons
I had not planned on posting a review on Glassdoor. However, as I continued to receive notifications for extremely positive reviews over the past 5 months I felt compelled to share the reality of the current situation at DNA Script. The vast majority of these reviews are 5 stars and some even claim there are no disadvantages to working at DNA Script. This is obviously not the case as all companies have disadvantages, particularly companies that recently laid off a large portion of their work force and are currently undergoing a major reorg. These recent reviews come off at best as disingenuous and at worst are part of some kind of fake glass door review scheme to artificially increase the number of stars and approval of the CEO. I would view any overly positive post after March 4, 2024 with deep skepticism as the layoffs became effective in France mid-March. The central issue facing DNA Script is one of the oldest tropes in the startup world: the three founders still have the decision making power, they are in over their heads, yet they continue to believe they know what's best despite having no experience running a company before they founded DNA Script. Without a reduction of their decision making power and the incorporation of new c-suite leadership with experience running companies it's hard to imagine a successful path forward for DNA Script.
