Pros

Salary is okay, about typical

Cons

Understaffed, but won't bring in new people when needed When orders pick up, kiss your work/life balance goodbye, overtime is declared on a moment's notice, including Saturdays Horrible working environment, very noisy Management expects clockwork precision in attendance, one nanosecond late (no matter what reason), and you get demerit points A "we own your soul" attitude in general

Pros

Great pirks. Good bonus . Good team.

Cons

A number of senior managers are lacking the skill, experience and competence what is required for the position they were put in ( not advertised for other candidates). They live of the hard work , intelligence and dedication of their reports , and they take credit freely for work done by their reports. Performance is assed by the core values of the company not how you perform in your job. This culture is toxic to individual achievement. It rewards people who work just hard enough not to be disciplined, and celebrates procedural adherence over outcomes. Through over-adoption of 'best practice' in the market the company have created a system that rewards generic performance and does not confront or manage non performance, rather piles the work of the non performing employee to some one who works very hard already. Politics is rampant above the middle management line, and there's no sense of structured career planning or assistance with your future. Salary offered below mid management is not competitive with market value.

Pros

Comparable benefits and pay scale. Raises given. They were seldom on time, but were made retroactive.

Cons

Up until May 2011, I was happy with my job and felt I was an excellent employee. In the course of about two days, everything changed. I was removed from the position I held for 22 years and told I would be working in a completely different area. When I reported to work, I waited for two hours to be assigned anything to do, but never was. I have sincerely tried to work with management to find out what happened, but other employees have been told not to ask questions about me. Everyone is being very secretive. I have finally resigned, feeling I was forced to do so, after being employed there since 1989. I would have liked to work until retirement, five years away, at the very least.
