Pros

I actually have not been at the company since 2005, however, Glassdoor would not let me select this year. They also insisted I write a review, which I am glad to contribute. Cummins is a decent large company to work for and at the company headquarters you can move to different areas. I was able to learn quite a bit while there working as an engineer.

Cons

The variety of supervisors is quite broad. Some are super and others are just a step above terrible. Some are glad to allow you to move around and develop your talent, while others absolutely refuse. The biggest problem is the big sense of fear that pervades the atmosphere since Cummins likes to downsize some every year, and downsizes quite a bit in some years. Even if you are a top performer, you do not know when someone is going to decide that you need to go. I know many people who were let go after 10+ years simply because the wrong person decided they didn't like them.

Pros

Cummins engines, coworkers, some customers

Cons

Total disappointment. High turnover due to mismanagement and low employee moral, paranoid about safety to the point of treating techs like children, monthly sales goals for billable non warranty service mostly unobtainable with out over selling and gauging due to very slow and inefficient process, procedures and completely outdated and dysfunctional computer system and redundant safety procedures and meetings. upper management has no clue how to run a truck service shop due having never worked in or ran one.

Pros

Salary, benefits, training, and near Cincinnati.

Cons

Management (HR included) is extremely hypocritical when it comes to following the companies core values. Lots of favoritism and fighting for credit. Lots of drama and talking behind backs.
