      Pros

      Good projects. Fun work. Mostly great people. Decent benefits. Great learning opportunities early on.

      Cons

      Lack of consistency. Thinks short term. Does not value employees as people. Does not recognize value in experience or recognize potential. Annual assessment not objective.

      Great company, not a good fit for me

      Pros

      - Competitive compensation package - Cummins is a terrific corporate citizen - Workforce diversity is preached AND practiced - Great training opportunities and potential for advancement (with the right manager) - I was fortunate to work with terrific, dedicated people

      Cons

      - IT function is continually re-organizing and priorities (and therefore funding) change too often - Emphasis on Six Sigma projects and "belting" is over-the-top - Processes often stifle productivity - need a better balance between process and "just do it" - Job rotations are strongly encouraged, but too often not well-planned; after someone transfers to a new position, back-fills can take months or never happen due to RIFs

      nice facilities, some flexibility in direction and programs, pay was ok

      Cons

      good 'ol boys and girls network - if you are on the inside track its great; just don't don't upset anyone trying to do something new or creating a break thru.
