Pros

• Very sharp, bright people in teams that do the work. ICs and Leads and Directors, that care about people and how they can do their job as well as their well being. • Now a very large corporation. There will be some advantages with that with some different types of opportunity, and a different pace and focus. • Some of the senior leaders at Contentsquare are really trying their best, despite the environment that was created.

Cons

• Hotjar CEO and some of the senior leadership and board at Contentsquare didn't handle the merger well at all. It felt extremely alien to Hotjarians who we used to radical candor and openness. The Hotjar CEO basically disappeared and melted into Contentsquare. • As with most mergers, people lost their jobs and various perks went. If you didn't live in a certain country, your ability to grow your earning got minimised or actually reduced to zero, no matter your performance. • Almost every new senior leadership hire has been a white, middle-aged French man. So much for diversity.

Thank you for your feedback. The acquisition of Hotjar and Heap was at the start of a challenging yet necessary restructuring, and being one company means creating an eco-system of equitable benefits. Regarding diversity, we acknowledge more efforts need to be made, which is why in the last global meeting was announced to the members of the CSquad our new DEI targets. They will be communicated externally shortly. Thank you again for your input as it contributes to our ongoing efforts to create a more positive and inclusive workplace. We wish you all the best.

Pros

The companies coming together in the merger (Contentsquare, Hotjar, and Heap) all have great things about them from both a product and a culture perspective.

Cons

I'm not sure that leadership is able to see and adopt all of the great things from each of the companies. The bias continues to heavily favor Contentsquare in all areas, which is a bummer because I can see a very promising future.

Thank you very much for your review. Acquiring two companies and becoming one entity creates inevitable change and challenging moments. The best is done to ensure equitable benefits and profit from what each company has to offer. If you did not get the chance, please watch the recording of the latest All Hands meeting to gain insight into the merger checkpoints and the progress being made.
