Pros

Stability. Chubb is a very stabile boring company. With the economy the way it is now that is really something that makes you feel good about the place.

Cons

Chubb is very conservative and sometimes misses the boat due to the old style of thinking. The culture at Chubb is very strong and somewhat unwilling to change. The business customers as well as IT management take a "It's good enough" attitude towards processes and work flows, as opposed to thinking "How can we make this better?" Many of the employees at Chubb have been working there for more then 15 years so as a result they often view change as an evil thing.

Pros

The best reason to work for Chubb is that the training they provide is second to none. After a certain time with Chubb, employees become very marketable. Also, the pay seems to be very competitive in my department compared to that of other companies although I have not been very succesful in determining the industry average. The benefits are excellent, and management is very relaxed and understanding with few exceptions. Advancement seems to be performance driven rather than political. In all the basics are in place,

Cons

I find that understanding what your future possibilities are is difficult to determing. Which makes it frustrating.

Pros

The people are pretty interesting and friendly, at least in my department. There are a few social gatherings throughout the year that are sponsored by the company. People are willing to help you out but it's kind of hard to start out at the bottom of any large corporation.

Cons

Isolated from senior management, not much interaction. The atmosphere is very corporate, as such in a large multinational firm. The work is menial and repetitive and there is no room for growth for me as a temporary employee. The days go by slowly and not many people come around to just chat.
