Managers are not knowledgable. They stick to the old process, and they won't be in a position for process improvements. I worked under a manager with zero management skills. She behaves in such a way that if you are going to die today, you should send the results before the due date and die accordingly. Teammates are like frogs in a well. They believe their process even if it is incorrect; they feel that they are legends. If you try to correct them, they claim that they are working there for seven years (with zero knowledge and logic).

Legacy Chubb and Son really cared about employees and customers. They didn't always make the right decision, but it always felt like they were honestly trying to be fair and ethical. The new Chubb Limited is just Ace in Chubb clothing. So many talented and dedicated long-time legacy Chubb were let go without a thought as to how the work would still get done, only to be replaced by consultants. Those let go were told that if they do find another job at Chubb after they leave, they will have to repay their severance...but they will also have to start as a brand new employee. They have no way to gain back 20+ (in many, many cases) years of service. This means much less vacation time, no company paid disability, etc. Why come back??
