Pros

The only reason to work there is once a year they have a employee sale but even that has become bad.

Cons

No Support from management. They can only tell you what you are doing wrong!!!

Pros

The discounts at the company store on perfume, makeup and treatment products is great. The vacation and sick time is very good. The health benefits are pretty good.

Cons

The accounting department is completely toxic. Management has created an enviroment of brown nosing and back stabbing. There is no incentive to excel at your job because if you are not one of the teacher's pets you will not be recognized for your efforts. The favortism is so blatant and nothing is done about it even though Human Resources is well aware of the problems. The turnover rate is very high, there were a few years when we could barely keep anyone there for more than a year. There is also a caste system in place at Chanel where management has different (better) health benefits and just in general a "regular" employee is considered "less important" than those who managed to brown nose their way to the top.

Pros

Good employee benefits in terms of products and allowances Bragging rights

Cons

Working in such a highly political environment where the managers are not playing on the same team means that we spend more time covering ours and our department's back than getting the real work done. Technologically backward as well. Many processes are still manual and extremely time-consuming. In my current department, executives have so much work to do that it is an impossible workload. In addition, because of inter-departmental politics, the work becomes twice as hard to complete. Therefore high turnover, leading to instability in the department and many things falling through the cracks as people come and go. Overall, a toxic work culture where only the political can survive.
