Pros

The products are great and for the most part do what it says on the tin. Training is good and you learn a lot though it gets repetitive after you've been shown how to do a smokey eye a dozen times. Working for Chanel looks amazing on your CV and will help you with other jobs in the long run. Staff allocation is rather generous and commission can be great if you hit your target.

Cons

No progression, unless you are prepared to keep your mouth shut and just go with whatever they say. If they don't like you then there's no chance for a promotion! Senior management are lying bullies and proud of it! Some managers are also racist and very unprofessional! The more robotic you are and the less personality you have the better you will be liked, be like bland flavorless porridge and you will be loved! Targets are ridiculous and un-achievable but they are done that way so there's less chance of hitting your commission! Senior managers think they are better than their employees because they get paid more for doing less and look down on their staff!

Fun position if you are a good listener, a good teacher and a great artist.

Cons

Nothing to say about the company. You have to be able to weed out the serious client from the people that come in for free make overs, and be tactful about it. You still have a sales goal each day as an artist.
