Pros

The people are genuinely caring of one another here. I have yet to see anyone looking down at anyone else. Even the directors & VPs at Caterpillar aren't shy with conversing and mingling with those working at the ground level. Benefits are industry-leading and the pay is competitive. Work/Life balance is great, and the environment is very low-stress. They go the extra mile here to make sure their employees are happy.

Cons

Moving up in the ladder requires relocation. I am constantly seeing people get promoted, and at the same time, those people are usually relocating to a different facility, and sometimes even a different country. It seems like it would be very difficult to make your way up the ladder if you don't want to relocate.

Pros

Work ethic, professionalism, Work systems and organized workflow. Diverse workforce, atmosphere conducive to productivity and numerous opportunities for learning and growth.

Cons

May get pin holed into doing the same kind of tasks at work and opportunities to learn over a broader base are limited.
