Frustrated and micro managed.

Pros

Carmax definitely has a friendly environment to work under.

Cons

Its a car company that makes it hard for employees to purchase cara other than wholesale pieces. Constantly micro managed with very little room for improvement. Management doea everything for the customers and nothing for employees. Management looks down on time off even when there are plenty of people working. Other departments look down on sales especially purchasing. Corporate is a joke and their representatives are useless. Constant indoctrination amd training is miserable. Always roll playing and critiqued on everything.

Overall great place to work. Good benefits. Great diversity in employees. Buy into Carmax culture, means job security.

Cons

If your a store manager closing shifts are hard to get excited about if you have a family.
