Pros

Great for learning how to sale, Positioning the sale. Decent job for someone starting a career in Sales

Cons

Lack of professionalism, most of the worker avoid customers and management fails to hold them fully accountable. Management lack of understanding the full scope what cross functional truly means and if you question anything, they will condescend and try to make you look bad Cliquey. The location demographic is mostly Hispanic and hispanics mostly stay with their own kind. The pay. For the amount of work you do for just over minimum wage is criminal. The Bonus is laughable. Bonus for the store could be at 30% but your payout would be maybe 400-600 on top of your initial pay even if you sold 20 cars that month with ESP.

Pros

Given lots of tools to do you job (CRM, training, information) and you have a large and varied ivnentory to sell.

Cons

Carmax over the time I worked there cared less and less about their sales team. They took away an entire department (online leads at the store) and made it so that you got half pay on them. They just didn't seem like they cared about their consultant being able to do well monetarily.
