Pros

Various technologies in telecom, so scope for learning is very good Good training programs both online and directly Friendly environmental culture Friendly boss policy Flexible working hours Leaves at request without any nod Growing company, good competitor in the field of telecom domain Frequent team outings, team lunches Comfortable work atmosphere

Cons

New management Started layoffs (If a particular product does bad, then layoffs of team takes place, if you are a bottom performer, then u will be asked to leave the company) If they show x salary, they will give x-20% salary. This 20% will be covered every 6 months in the form of Company Incentive Plan. Further, it also depends on your performance and companies performance. So you are not sure whether u will get 15% or 10% out of 20% If you leave company in between the financial year (six months), you wont get your CIP Long notice period, three months. So, it is obvious that you wont get CIP for these three months.

Pros

Nothing. If you are lucky you might get a cutting edge project (like LTE or IMS).

Cons

Everything. Package, below market... Bad policies. (Most of the times tailored to deceive and affect the employee negatively.) For example:- 1> You finish your financial year (April to March), so you should be eligible for the yearly bonus. But if you resign before the bonus comes to your account ( in May salary), then you won't receive your bonus. Company will eat it out. 2> You finish your financial year (April to March), hence you are eligible to your appraisal. But you'd receive the appraisal mail (No appraisal letter, just mail from your manager.) in June. And the appraisal will be effective from June/July (When it should be affective from April). 3> No reimbursement of PLs allowed except while leaving the company. 4> When you resign, you have to pay notice buyout in terms of Basic+FBP. But Priviledge leaves can be reimbursed in terms of Basic only. (If you have 30 PLs and want to buyout 30 days, it is not allowed. you will still have to pay 30 days' FBP.) These are a few examples of policies that are currently in action. Besides, Policies changes every fortnight, to facilitate the managers (or Employer). Never I have seen one policy changed for the advantage of employee.

Pros

Everything here depends upon project. If you are lucky you'll have a nice team, good manager, great onsite and on-time or in some cases before time (very rare) promotion. Over all work environment is good, visible efforts to improve work place can be seen.

Cons

If your luck is not that good you might end up in a project that is completely opposite to your skills. like if you are awesome in java they might fit you in a C/C++ role and open a vacancy for JAVA developer, seriously this is ridicules or even worse you might be told to do testing or scripting. Your skills and interests doesn't matter here it's just a job you have to go to office and do whatever they want you to do.
