Pros

My salary is just enough to keep me alive

Cons

Takes advantage of everyone, especially those low on the ladder. Combined multiple roles into one, requiring rounds of extra training lasting more than half a year now. $0 raise. Current responsibilities are 5x what I signed up for. Zero opportunities to move up or move anywhere for that matter.

Pros

Opportunity to work at a top 10 cable news network Learn from a large pool of talented team members

Cons

Little to no support and guidance from management to progress your career Lack of transparency regarding salary New hires receive a higher salary than established employees Inflation and cost of living increases are only taken into consideration for several cities where CNN operates Favoritism 'Unlimited PTO' sounds great, but when individual teams have different policies it feels like 'survival of the fittest.' If you don't get your request in 6 months-1 year ahead, chances are there are already people who have requested that day off and you get denied.
