Pros

Got to see journalism first hand, exciting atmosphere

Cons

The pay was horrible, the interns (and cameramen) were treated like disposable objects by management. No one was sure if they would be allowed to stay or fired within the next few months.

Pros

Hands on experience producing content viewed around the world and by important people. When there is big breaking news, you can feel the impact you are having.

Cons

The good moments are few and far between. Most of your job is coordinating logistics, and when you cover stories, there is so much focus on the scariest video and most dramatic storyline. It feels like youre hurting more than youre helping.
