Pros

Hands on experience with Studio equipment. The internship it self was almost like a survey course. You aren't locked into one position. You get to rotate around and after the first couple of weeks your asked which area you liked best and stay with them.

Cons

What you learn and get out of the internship is based heavily on who you observe. So if the person you observe isn't the greatest employee your missing out.
