Pros

good field opportunities, coverage of conference, big news events and interacting with world leader and massive companies

Cons

Despite a few bad eggs that recently left the company/were fired, the company culture is still incredibly awful. Lots of backstabbing, boycotting colleagues to get a stories, unhealthy competition. I have never trusted colleagues so little. I am constantly watching my back. No mid-managment available, the newsroom is 80% between 22-26 years old and then older colleagues who do their own thing and only 1 available to mentor others. No one to turn to for issues or advice.
