Pros

Not a whole lot x

Cons

Be careful with jobs advertised as reporter or correspondent at CNBC digital in Singapore. It is a content farm; those in charge are factory workers who borrow from other news sites

Pros

- Learn a lot if you are open to new experiences - When they trust you some teams are open to you pitching and taking more control - Recently more training on the AP level, like management woke up to feedback and turnover - Colleagues and most managers are nice to work with

Cons

- Not enough staff, even senior management is doing 4 or 5 jobs, all doing extra roles - Industry is challenging but TV still a big part of their business - Technology is outdated

Avoid at all costs

Pros

Barely pays rent. Free range to do absolutely what the hell ever you want with no direction/vision/system.

Cons

Extreme favoritism, even if it comes at the cost of standards and performance. Managers and editors are inexperienced, so will reward the junior “yes man” reporters out of insecurity. Gossips about overperformers because they make them look bad. Diversity and inclusion is a joke. Cheapens out on spending on reporters while management flies all over the world at least every other month. Toxicity tricks down from how the head of the international department is run by the head in Singapore. Highly do not recommend if you are serious about a journalism career.
