I became a victim of an extremely toxic behaviour. So I had an argument with a mentor of mine. Next day I was called to a separate room where I was accused of harassment. Everything was based on an anonymous call made on an ethical hotline. 0 evidence provided however I was bullied and harassed by the managers themselves when being accused of so called harassement. I ll try to sum it up by the following points and hopefully describe in detail what happened
Violation of Basic Fairness Principles:
I received a written notice for alleged "rudeness and aggression" based solely on an anonymous phone call. No evidence, witness statements, or objective facts were provided to support these accusations.
Sham Investigation:
The cargo ops manager claimed that HR department had conducted an "investigation" but refused to provide any details, specific facts, or circumstances of the alleged incident. When questioned about evidence, they gave a standard deflection: "we didn't just make this up out of thin air" - while providing exactly zero substantiation.
Denial of Due Process:
The employee was denied the right to:
- Know specific allegations against them
- Confront their accuser
- Present their side of the story
- Access any evidence or documentation
Professional Incompetence:
Management treated an anonymous complaint as gospel truth without any verification, creating a toxic environment where anyone could falsely accuse colleagues without consequence.
The Result:
A dedicated employee left within 3 months, taking their skills and integrity to a workplace that actually values fair treatment and proper procedures.
This is how you destroy trust, morale, and your reputation as an employer. Four years later, this injustice is still remembered - imagine how many others have similar stories.
To current CMA CGM Estonia leadership: Is this the legacy you're proud of? At least the cargo ops supervisor was moved to a position of a logistics specialist located in Finland about 3 years ago and is not managing other people as she did in the past. I hope I will meet her someday and give her a little bit of her medicine. I know how small and pathetic people like her look when being a ordinary person passing someone by on the streets of our small city called Tallinn. I hope she burns in hell
